Job summary

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. This role provides project field engineering specialization in work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination to ensure field activities are safe, complete, and meet project requirements.

Applicant will work closely with superintendents and direct-hire craft to ensure full compliance of assigned scope of work. #LI-CL1

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate understanding of mechanical piping systems, connections, and components.
• Ability to read Isometrics, P&IDs, orthographics, plans, and other drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to piping superintendents and crafts.
• Implement ES&H and quality control programs.
• Implement Inspection and Test Plans for major piping activities.
• Inspect field installations and complete related documentation; perform final P&ID checks.
• Take-off and manage piping quantities; report and forecast.
• Develop detailed work plans and short-term schedules with supervision.
• Develop piping work packages with supervision; prepare field change documentation.
• Interpret design drawings and resolve constructability issues with engineering.
• Develop pressure test packages and witness acceptance tests.
• Coordinate with suppliers to meet drawings and specs; review vendor drawings.
• Expedite procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials; verify data in TEAMWorks and Xfighters.
• Ensure proper storage of materials for environmental protection; conduct material receipt inspections; assist with estimates.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers to meet project requirements.
