Sargent & Lundy in Greenville, SC, seeks an electrical engineering group leader for challenging nuclear projects. You will mentor staff, define deliverables, and coordinate multi-discipline design changes to meet technical, quality, and budget goals.

Responsibilities include leading the detailed design across all phases, developing scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants; interfacing with clients; and pursuing follow-on work.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years designing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group across all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a lead engineering role.
• Electrical system design including LV/MV distribution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Detail-oriented with unescorted access eligibility.
• PE Licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to ensure successful completion of electrical project deliverables.
• Define deliverables (calculations, specs, drawings, design changes).
• Review status and track progress to meet scope and budget.
• Hold routine status meetings and submit progress reports.
• Coordinate completion of project deliverables.
• Lead detailed design phases for all electrical work and interface with other disciplines.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Develop proposals for complex electrical modifications.
• Provide technical oversight for design change packages and related calculations.
• Interface with client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide development of the group.
• Identify client needs for strategic opportunities.
• Leverage client relationships for follow-on work.
• Prepare/cooordinate multi-discipline proposals.
