Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead multi-discipline projects in power plant environments. You will guide deliverables, coordinate with clients, and mentor group members to ensure scope, budget, and quality goals are met.

The role emphasizes hybrid work with three days in the office and two remote days, plus opportunities to shape design change packages, perform system studies, and provide technical oversight across electrical design activities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in electrical engineering required.
• 20+ years of electrical engineering design experience for power plants.
• Experience with electrical system design including LV/MV distribution and protection.
• Experience as a firm/client liaison in lead engineering roles.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts by group members to ensure electrical engineering deliverables meet technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations.
• Define deliverables (calculations, specs, drawings, design changes).
• Review status and track progress to maintain scope and budget and keep client informed.
• Conduct routine status meetings and submit progress reports.
• Coordinate multi-discipline project deliverables for nuclear power plants.
• Develop project scope, estimates and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Provide technical oversight for design change packages and equipment specifications.
• Interface with the client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide development of the group and pursue follow-on opportunities.
