Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior electrical engineering leader to guide a group on challenging nuclear power plant projects. You will drive multi-discipline coordination, develop scopes, costs, and schedules, and provide technical oversight for design change packages and equipment specifications.

The role requires a BSEE from an ABET-accredited program, 10+ years in electrical design for nuclear plants, and 3+ years leading a design group. PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten+ years designing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
• Three+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Experience liaising with clients in a support or lead role.
• Electrical system design experience including LV/MV distribution, transformers, generators, motors, relays.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey information to teams and clients.
• MS Office proficiency; detail-oriented work approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead group efforts to complete electrical engineering deliverables meeting technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations.
• Define scope of work, deliverables, and track progress with regular status meetings.
• Oversee detailed design phases and cross-discipline coordination.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for nuclear plant modifications.
• Prepare proposals for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Provide technical oversight, including design change packages and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate client interface to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop group members; identify strategic opportunities with clients.
• Assist in multi-discipline proposals and vendor reviews.
