Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a lead Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer with 15+ years of experience to supervise a team and deliver electrical deliverables on time and within budget. The role emphasizes technical leadership, project controls, and adherence to quality standards across complex industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, PE registration preferred, and extensive experience with NEC, lighting calculations,

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
• Ability to determine motor control center loading.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting standards and vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical deliverables for accuracy and conformance.
• Develop and validate professional service and construction estimates; track changes.
• Produce preliminary design calculations and material take-offs.
• Establish design criteria and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Plan, organize, and lead the project team; manage schedule and budget.
• Review vendor drawings and prepare bid packages for procurement.
