Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to supervise a team delivering electrical and instrumentation scope on complex projects. You will ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality, acting as a technical specialist for advanced assignments.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in industrial E&I, NEC proficiency, and strong CAD, cost estimation, and leadership skills to guide design, drafting, and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable codes.
• Ability to estimate tasks, schedules, and man-hours for projects.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting standards and design workflows.
• Proven leadership and client presentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and designers, delivering electrical/instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
• Produce professional service estimates and develop design criteria and scope.
• Check vendor drawings and prepare bid packages for procurement.
• Develop 15 kV single-line diagrams and equipment specs.
• Lead project planning, risk assessment, and schedule control.
• Mentor staff and provide interoffice execution leadership.
