Job summary
Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a Senior Electrical Designer to supervise a team of designers, directing electrical and instrumentation deliverables. You will ensure on-time delivery, develop complex equipment specs, and support startup and project controls.
Strong NEC knowledge and 12+ years of experience are required. This position emphasizes leadership, coordination across disciplines, and detailed design execution.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
- 12+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
- Knowledge of NEC and ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection.
Responsibilities
- Lead a design team of designers and provide technical direction.
- Deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Mentor subordinates and coordinate with discipline leads.
- Produce equipment specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems with engineering review.
- Develop electrical installation specifications and cost estimates.
- Forecast hours, staff plans and project scheduling for assignments.
