Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a senior Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer in the United States. You will supervise engineers and designers, deliver electrical/instrumentation deliverables, and manage costs, schedule, and quality with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, PE preferred, and 15+ years of relevant industrial experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of the current NEC.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
• Ability to calculate tray and conduit fill.
• Ability to determine MCC loading.
• Familiarity with equipment installation details and specs.
• Ability to create electrical installation documents from vendor drawings.
• Ability to develop equipment specifications for MCCs, VFDs, motors, and switchgear.
• Knowledge of schedule constraints for electrical deliverables.
• Ability to produce a 15kV single line diagram.
• Experience with 15kV/5kV equipment specs and ratings.
• Ability to estimate construction tasks and budgets.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting standards.
• Programming experience with PLC/HMI/DCS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and supervision over engineering and design teams.
• Review and approve electrical deliverables and estimates.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for projects.
• Lead design criteria and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Plan, organize, and track project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Produce bid packages for electrical procurement and subcontract pricing.
• Mentor staff and lead interoffice execution across disciplines.
• Ensure constructability and quality in drawings and documents.
