Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in the United States is seeking a Lead Designer for electrical and instrumentation. You will supervise a team of designers and deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of industrial experience, NEC familiarity, and strong leadership, coordination with process and other disciplines, and the ability to mentor staff and produce equipment specifications up to 15kV/5kV.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
• Familiarity with NEC codes and construction documentation.
• Ability to estimate construction quantities and create cost estimates.
• Lead a design staff to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of designers.
• Produce detailed electrical installation specs and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with discipline leads and clients on scope and design changes.
• Assist during startup and mentor junior staff.
