Job summary

Estes Express Lines seeks a Dock Supervisor to lead and direct dock employees in a fast-paced LTL operation. You will set targets, monitor performance, coach staff and ensure safety, quality and on-time performance while aligning with the Service Center plan.

Responsibilities include scheduling, equipment coordination, communication with customers, and maintaining accurate paperwork. The role requires strong leadership, a high work ethic, and flexibility to work 50 hours per week, including

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience in LTL trucking.
• Knowledge of the local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership abilities including coaching, mentoring and terminations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; planning and organization.
• Proficient computer and data-entry skills (AS/400 & MS Office).
• Willing to work 50 hours/week and any shift, including nights/weekends.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets; monitor performance.
• Manage dock planning and schedule setup for efficiency.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in hiring and termination processes as needed.
• Administer parts of the Service Center Business plan.
• Meet KPI targets and utilize company tools to improve metrics.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with others.
• Maintain timely, accurate dock paperwork and customer communications.
• Regular attendance and ability to work under time constraints.
