Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Lead Director - Digital Engineering to drive strategy and modernization of customer identity platforms serving millions of customers across Health100, Caremark, Specialty, Retail and more.

You will lead engineering managers, shape cloud-native, API-first architectures, ensure security and reliability, and partner with Product, Security, Architecture and Business teams to deliver scalable identity solutions at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/ platform engineering or CIAM-related fields.
• 7+ years leading engineering managers and senior managers.
• Experience defining and executing technology strategy, roadmaps, and multi-year modernization initiatives.
• 5+ years driving cloud-native transformation, API-first architectures, and platform engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of CIAM, authentication, authorization, and identity security principles.
• Proven experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, workforce planning, and technology investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-team engineering organization for authentication services, profile management, identity integrations, and platform operations.
• Evolve identity capabilities toward a scalable, cloud-native, API-first architecture with secure, reliable customer experiences.
• Drive AI-enabled transformations and execution strategies.
• Identify and manage risks, engage teams to drive toward resolution.
• Identify and manage cross-workstream technical dependencies.
• End-to-End Program Plan and timely tracking and reporting.
• Define, measure and track metrics and KPIs to measure success and business outcomes.
• Build and cultivate strong relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners and vendors to support the delivery roadmap.
