CVS Health Digital is seeking a Lead Director – Digital Engineering to own the strategy, modernization, delivery, and operation of customer identity platforms serving Health100, Caremark, Specialty, Retail, Health Services and digital experiences.

This hands-on leader will partner with Product, Security, Architecture and Business teams to improve security, reliability and scale, while driving modernization and AI-enabled transformations across the identity stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/platform engineering or CIAM experience.
• 7+ years of people leadership, including engineering managers.
• 5+ years of cloud-native transformations and API-first practices.
• Strong CIAM knowledge: authentication, authorization, customer profiles, and identity security.
• Experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, and technology investments.
• Proven track record delivering scalable, available platforms with security.
• Experience using AI/automation to improve productivity and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team engineering organization for authentication services and identity platforms.
• Advance scalable, cloud-native identity capabilities with API-first design.
• Drive AI-enabled transformations and execution strategies.
• Identify and manage risks and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Define End-to-End program plans and track progress to stakeholders.
• Measure success with defined KPIs and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Architecture, and Business teams.
