Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Lead Director - Digital Engineering to own strategy, modernization, delivery and operation of CVS Health's customer identity platforms serving millions of users.

This role partners with Product, Security, Architecture and Business teams to advance modernization, security and operational excellence, delivering scalable identity solutions that support enterprise growth and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/ platform engineering or related tech disciplines.
• 7+ years leading engineering managers and senior managers.
• Experience defining technology strategy, roadmaps, and multi-year modernization initiatives.
• 5+ years driving cloud-native transformation and API-first practices.
• Strong CIAM, authentication, authorization, and identity security knowledge.
• Proven budget management, vendor partnerships, and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team engineering org responsible for authentication services and platform operations.
• Drive scalable, cloud-native identity capabilities and secure customer experiences.
• Lead AI-enabled transformations and execution strategies.
• Identify and manage risks and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Develop End-to-End program plans and stakeholder communications.
• Define metrics and KPIs to measure business outcomes for identity platforms.
