Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician at our Indianapolis location. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You’ll mentor others as a lead at your site and use Penske’s cutting-edge tools to diagnose and fix issues. We emphasize training and growth, with opportunities to work on engine and drive-train components, and to advance through our Technician Certification Program.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in engines, transmissions, differentials; ASE 608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keeping work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs.
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
