Penske is seeking an experienced Technician I at our Indianapolis location to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicles, mentor others, and work independently with strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE and 608/609 preferred.
• Experience using welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies; strong problem solving and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair major components including engines, transmissions, differentials.
• Keep work area clean and safe, log work using Penske tools and tech.
• Learn Penske's training programs and mentor others when appropriate.
• Collaborate with supervisor on additional tasks and projects.
