Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet in Indianapolis, IN. You’ll work independently on major and minor repairs, diagnose issues with road tests, and mentor newer technicians while expanding your own skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to follow DOT/OSHA safety policies and Penske safety guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions and differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn through Penske’s technician training and development programs.
• Perform additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
