Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks a skilled Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a fleet of vehicles at our Indianapolis location. You will log and complete repairs using Penske tools and participate in hands-on coaching with experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies including DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire replacement/rotation and lubrication and component replacement on gas and diesel engines.
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching with your manager.
• Participating in other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
