Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician I at our La Porte location to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will lead by example, mentor others, and work independently on major and minor repairs, including diagnostics and road tests.

You will be supported with Penske’s training programs, advanced vehicle maintenance tech, and a strong emphasis on safety. Excellent benefits, schedule flexibility, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical repair training preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosing/troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials; ASE and 608/609 preferred.
• Experience with welding, diagnostics, and a full set of trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and trailers to ensure safety and reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and on schedule.
• Diagnose and repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); replace assemblies as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and operate Penske tools and tech.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and support team projects.
