Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is looking for an experienced Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet.

You will lead at the location, mentor peers, and work independently on major and minor repairs, diagnostics, and road tests to keep vehicles on the road. You will receive ongoing training, exposure to cutting-edge maintenance technology, and opportunities for advancement in a safety-conscious environment.

Formación

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experienced using tools of the trade including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service; work well in a team.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies apply; be able to work in varied conditions; travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); replace assemblies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs; perform basic diagnostics.
• Learn Penske’s technician training and stay updated on processes.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
