Job summary

Jacobs in Las Vegas seeks a Senior HVAC Engineer to lead Building Mechanical on data center projects. You will design HVAC systems, size equipment, and produce P&IDs, calculations, and drawings while coordinating with clients and vendors.

You will mentor junior staff, manage schedules, and ensure technical quality with a hybrid work policy blending Jacobs offices and remote locations. Requires 8+ years in HVAC design and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in HVAC design.
Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Adaptability to a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers, EVs, and heavy industrial facilities.
Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including temperature/humidity control and clean rooms where required.
Prepare calculations, P&IDs, and general arrangements; size and select equipment.
Develop final design documents including specifications, operation sequences, piping layouts, and construction drawings.
Mentor less experienced staff and ensure project schedule and technical quality.
