Job summary

Summit in Braithwaite, LA is seeking a Cook Supervisor to lead a correctional facility kitchen team. You will coordinate staff to ensure on-time meals, maintain food quality, and adhere to sanitation standards in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of high-volume cooking, strong culinary knowledge, and demonstrated ability to supervise others. Food Handlers certification is a plus; on-site role with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• At least one year's prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team and providing friendly, helpful service.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
