Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Lead Case Manager to coordinate a team that provides comprehensive housing stability services. You will supervise case managers, conduct assessments, and ensure timely follow‑up with clients to meet their housing goals.

The role requires on‑site work, 2+ years in case management with vulnerable populations, and the ability to coordinate community referrals and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a case manager working with homeless or vulnerable populations.
• Experience in supervision or lead role is preferred.
• Ability to pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• VOALA requires adherence to mandated reporter policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Case Managers on their active caseload; review plans of action and coordinate resources.
• Conduct comprehensive screenings and develop housing stability plans with clients.
• Monitor case Managers for quality of service and perform regular case file audits.
• Coordinate referrals to VA/community providers for therapeutic, social, educational, and medical resources.
• Develop workshops and participate in outreach events; other duties as assigned.
