Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Lead Case Manager to supervise a team delivering housing stability services on-site. You will assess client needs, coordinate resources, and monitor documentation and outcomes.

The role requires at least 2 years of case management experience, fingerprint clearance, and strong collaboration with community partners to support veterans and families in securing stable housing.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance and background checks required.
• Ability to perform under emotional stress and handle challenging clients.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a case manager.
• Completion of VOALA Case Management training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Case Managers and monitor active caseloads.
• Review referrals, screenings, and assign intake to case managers.
• Coordinate housing stability plans, move-in activities, and service referrals.
• Conduct client assessments to gather housing, financial, health, and education data.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy for veterans and families.
• Ensure documentation and HMIS data quality in client records.
