Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Tampa, FL is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the building's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The role may be solo or involve supervising maintenance staff, performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with outside contractors, and preparing monthly reports for the management team.

A high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of trade experience, proper licenses, and knowledge of HVAC, boilers and energy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of MEP systems for the buildings.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign/monitor maintenance activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance: replace filters, lubricate motors, change lamps/ballasts, inspect belts and bearings.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and technicians on maintenance projects.
• Maintain stock and inventory control and respond to emergencies.
• Complete required safety training and adhere to dress code.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Trade apprenticeship or trade school (preferred)

5+ years of related trade experience
