Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Florida is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the assigned facility. The role may be the sole engineer or supervise a small maintenance staff.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, coordinating with contractors, managing parts inventory, responding to emergencies, and reporting building performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• Journeyman/Master license or city licenses may be required.
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerants preferred or required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Develop and maintain building maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors and technicians.
• Maintain stock/inventory control.
• Respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Submit monthly building operation reports.
