Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Lead Operating Engineer to safeguard and optimize the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the assigned facility. You will operate and maintain critical building systems, supervise maintenance staff when needed, and coordinate with contractors to ensure reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, relevant licenses, and a solid understanding of energy management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of trade experience in operating MEP systems in commercial property.
• Appropriate trade licenses and EPA 608 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and technicians for projects.
• Maintain stock and monthly reports of operations
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and compliance
