Thomson Reuters Corp. in Eagan, Minnesota is seeking an experienced Lead Bindery Operator for the Core Print Solutions team. You will lead the production line and crew on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM–10:30 PM), driving process improvements through Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walks.

The role emphasizes training, cross-shift communication, and safety adherence, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Join a collaborative, hands-on environment focused on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Experience working in an industrial setting with production machinery.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven success as a trainer.
• Able to run multiple pieces of equipment.
• Lead experience on perfect binders with up to 40-station collators, 3-knife trimmers, inline boxing, and palletizing.
• Experience with hard-cover casing-in lines, collating or kitting lines with up to 30 streamfeeder stations, packaging or cartooning lines, Sitma mail lines, and hot foil stampers.
• Able to read and explain safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Able to lift 5–50 lbs regularly, stand/walk/bend/reach.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, work direction, and training to crew to optimize performance.
• Ensure the line runs smoothly and produces a quality product for customers.
• Facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive improvements.
• Train crew members, including temporary staff, to meet workload demands.
• Motivate others and build a strong team environment.
