Pep Boys Inc. Bartlett is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced shop. You will interact with customers, educate them on problems and proposed solutions, and mentor junior technicians to raise the level of care.

The role requires strong automotive diagnostic ability, several ASE certifications, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Full-time schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 + 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Perform job duties of all lower job descriptions (Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician).
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or employees.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.
