Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a team to deliver outstanding customer care. You will educate customers on issues and proposed solutions, while coaching others to improve service quality.

Expect strong leadership, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to manage shop workflow. This role requires ASE certifications and a valid driver's license, with availability across days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years automotive diagnosis, repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 plus 2 from listed).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor and lead other technicians; maintain shop organization.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they arise.
