Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance. You will oversee maintenance of the property, perform repairs in resident apartments, and assist in making units ready for rent.

The role requires driving a basic tool set, coordinating with the Community Manager, and supervising subcontractors when needed. The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, system repairs, and collaboration with a regional manager.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or a trade requiring knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Strong verbal and written English communication to interact with team members, residents, vendors and stakeholders.
• EPA refrigerant certification.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Willingness to travel within major metropolitan areas and occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests from residents within 24 hours.
• Assist in distributing flyers and materials.
• Replace filters and clean HVAC vents as needed.
• Maintain sprinkler systems and perform HVAC repairs.
• Perform light electrical and plumbing tasks as required.
• Replace glass, tiling, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks, bulbs, etc.
• Paint interiors and exteriors when needed.
• Perform carpentry work and shelving tasks.
• Assist in custodial duties in common areas.
• Supervise subcontractors and report hazards immediately.
• Keep records for maintenance, inventories, and purchasing.
