Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the property's overall upkeep, perform repairs in resident units, and assist in readying units for rental. This role reports to the Community Manager and involves supervising subcontractors and coordinating preventive maintenance across common areas.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in apartment maintenance, strong electrical/HVAC/plumbing skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time maintenance experience in apartments or related trades.
• Strong English communication; Spanish is a plus.
• EPA certification related to refrigerants is required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Willing to travel between metro areas and work some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and clean vents; maintain sprinkler systems.
• Perform HVAC repairs and light electrical/plumbing tasks.
• Repair broken fixtures, doors, and flooring as needed.
• Paint interiors/exteriors and perform carpentry tasks.
• Assist custodial work in common areas and inspect units for make-ready.
• Supervise subcontractors and manage work orders; report hazards.
