Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Lead Technical Enablement Specialist to define and build the capability engine for its global Field Engineering organization. You will shape how FEs build expertise, demonstrate readiness, share knowledge, and apply capabilities with customers.

This high-visibility, high-autonomy role involves defining what “field-ready” means, partnering with FE leadership, product and SME communities, and turning insights into scalable programs across a federated organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in technical enablement, product management, learning and development, consulting, field engineering, or program leadership within a high-growth technology company.
• A track record of building and scaling something new from ambiguity; you shaped strategy, aligned stakeholders, designed the experience, launched it, measured it, and improved it over time.
• Strong strategic judgment and executive presence; you partner with Directors and VPs to shape priorities and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and roadmap for FE capability; translate strategy into a focused portfolio of investments.
• Own and evolve a portfolio of readiness experiences across skills verification, technical demonstrations, role-based pathways, credentials, and practical application.
• Invent new ways for FEs to build and prove expertise; design experiences beyond traditional courses.
• Make readiness relevant to FE workflows by embedding development into existing processes.
• Help the organization adapt to an AI-enabled future; measure judgment, problem-solving, architecture, collaboration and customer impact.
• Create systems and signals to make capability visible; turn concepts into scalable experiences used by FEs and managers.
• Build a federated operating model with clear ownership, governance, and lifecycle management across programs.
• Drive adoption through field experience, stakeholder engagement, and data feedback.
• Give leaders a clear view of capability and opportunity using measurable signals.
• Connect capability to growth and career opportunities with HR and leadership.
