Job summary

SECU is seeking an entry-level Associate Member Services Representative in Hickory, NC. You will learn branch operations, provide exemplary member service, and assist with inquiries in person and by phone.

Initial training includes Excel and Elevate, followed by core modules on accounts, policies, lending, and security. You will balance cash, handle wire transfers, and support daily branch functions under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Consistently demonstrates SECU's Core Values.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust in the Credit Union.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have good problem-solving skills.
• Must complete the Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Attend Excel and Elevate – New Employee Training (E&E).
• After E&E, complete the 10 Core Modules: Checking Accounts, Member Eligibility, Money Market Share Accounts, SECU Policies Overview, Share Accounts, Lending Overview, NCUA Coverage, Cooperative Principles, Member Access, We Are SECU!
• Comply with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
• Balance a cash drawer and balance the vault, ATMs, teller cash dispenser, and coin sorter.
• Greet and assist members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner – in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Answer phones and assist members with service requests.
• Operate a drive-through window as needed.
• Process foreign and domestic wire transfers and handle currency exchanges.
• Troubleshoot issues with member accounts, cards, and online access.
