Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Landscape Business Developer in Rocklin, CA. You will drive growth in landscape installation and construction by building relationships with developers, GC's, and property managers across the Rocklin/Sacramento area.

The role emphasizes prospecting, proposal development, and contract closing with support from an established operations and leadership team. 3–5 years of outside sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven B2B outside sales in construction or landscape-related services.
• Experience with project management or construction is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to close commercial contracts and negotiate terms.
• Proficient in Salesforce or CRM and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
• Develop a pipeline of installation opportunities beyond current maintenance.
• Create customized proposals and presentations for clients.
• Negotiate and close contracts aligned with pricing standards and profitability.
• Build relationships with property managers, developers, and contractors.
• Serve as the primary contact during the sales cycle and ensure smooth transition to operations.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, and PM teams on proposals and delivery.
• Review large opportunities with senior leadership and regional leadership up to $1M.
• Stay informed on local market conditions and industry trends.
• Represent the company at trade associations and events.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity in Salesforce; update records.
• Assist leadership in setting annual sales goals and budgets.
