Job summary

Addison Group is recruiting a Business Developer to grow the landscape installation and construction book of business in the Washington DC area. This is a newly created role with strong leadership support to build something successful from the ground up.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of B2B outside sales experience in construction or related services and can cultivate long-term relationships with developers, general contractors, and property decision makers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven B2B outside sales success in related industries.
• Background in construction, landscape installation, property management or similar.
• Strong sales, negotiation and presentation abilities with a track record of closing contracts.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work in a field-based role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of installation opportunities outside the maintenance book.
• Develop customized proposals and presentations addressing client needs and value.
• Negotiate and close contracts aligned with pricing standards and profitability goals.
• Maintain relationships with property managers, developers and general contractors.
• Serve as primary contact during the sales cycle and ensure smooth transition to operations.
