Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator to manage daily laboratory operations on a long-term assignment at a client site in Rahway, NJ. This full-time role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration across teams to ensure continuous testing readiness.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a life science or engineering field, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline and years of relevant experience.
• Scientist 3 - B.S. with 3-5 years of experience
• Senior Scientist I - B.S. with 5+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions, providing guidance and support to laboratory staff.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations during lab stand-downs and organizational initiatives.
• Manage temperature storage facilities, including both emergency protocols and scheduled clean-outs.
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays, ensuring they remain stocked and within expiry date.
• Receive samples through our laboratory management system, ensuring samples are ready for testing.
• Submit work orders for lab equipment and computer calibrations; facilitate scheduling with technicians and supervise their activities.
• Schedule and follow up on preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment; manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies.
