Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 – Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator for a full-time, onsite role in Rahway, NJ, working as part of Parexel FSP on a long-term assignment. This role emphasizes laboratory operations management, instrument maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient testing workflows.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in a life sciences or engineering discipline and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in LC methods and associated assays,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline with 3–5 years for Scientist 3 or 5+ years for Senior Scientist I.
• Demonstrated laboratory management experience and strong safety protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions and staff.
• Collaborate with teams to support lab stand-downs and organizational initiatives.
• Manage temperature storage facilities and safety protocols.
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays and ensure expiry dates.
• Receive samples via the lab management system and prepare for testing.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, scheduling of calibrations, and procurement of supplies.
