Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings and assist with serving lines in a school cafeteria environment. The role includes occasional catering, maintaining proper temperatures, and presenting baked goods to customers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret bar graphs
• Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions and solve problems with a few concrete variables
• Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: List of kitchen equipment and software tools used in daily operations

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures
• Prepare foods per menu plan and recipes; batch cook and present items appealingly
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification and maintain cleanliness
• Maintain FIFO inventory and stocked coolers; keep storage areas organized
• Follow HACCP and food safety logs; report unsafe conditions and participate in safety programs
• Handle customer transactions and reconcile meals; assist with daily paperwork
