Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. You will perform all Cook/Kitchen duties as required by daily menu plans.

Responsibilities include station setup, food prep per recipes, equipment use with proper certification, FIFO stock, dishwashing, and maintaining clean, organized work areas in a fast-paced school cafeteria environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes, plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and comply with safety procedures.
