Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen helper to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering functions. You will perform a variety of kitchen duties, including prep, batch cooking, food safety, and cleaning, to support a positive dining experience.

This role requires familiarity with HACCP, strong hospitality, and the ability to operate common kitchen equipment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and recipes.
• Understand HACCP and basic food safety principles.
• Willingness to learn the Opaa! recipes and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines and ensure foods are held at proper temperatures.
• Assist in food prep and batch cooking per menu plan.
• Operate common kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to FIFO inventory.
• Assist with dishwashing and maintain safe, sanitary kitchen conditions.
• Provide hospitable service and present food appealingly to customers.
