Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch, assist with catering, and perform tasks across the kitchen. Pay rates vary by state and position; opportunities exist across multiple locations in the United States.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining safety standards, and supporting daily meal service with a focus on quality and hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to read menus, follow recipes, and maintain records per HHFKA/CACFP.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes, and batch cook as needed.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper training.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper FIFO storage; restock as needed.
• Handle cash register duties and meal reimbursements when required.
• Assist with inventory, daily production records, and reporting.
