Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen associate to support breakfast and lunch service across serving lines and occasional catering. You will help prepare foods, restock lines, and ensure quality presentation and hospitality for students and staff.

The role requires numeric accuracy, basic writing, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment with strict safety standards. On-site employment with opportunities to learn multi-function kitchen duties.

Qualifications

• Education requirement is High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or related experience.
• Ability to read simple instructions and write basic notes or reports.
• Strong numerical skills for measurements, portioning, and calculations.
• Ability to apply basic reasoning to solve problems in routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and recipes; batch cook and present items attractively.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification and maintain cleanliness.
• Manage inventory, FIFO procedures, and restock serving areas as needed.
• Assist in cashiering, meal counting, and daily recordkeeping tasks.
• Follow safety, HACCP, and HHFKA compliant procedures.
