Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA, LLC is seeking a reliable Food Preparation Assistant to support daily kitchen operations for one of our hospitality clients in Miami. The role focuses on meal prep, mise en place, and maintaining safe, organized prep stations to help line cooks run smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in food service, a high school diploma, and a strong work ethic. You’ll learn standard recipes, safety practices, and advance toward Cook B/Line Cook roles with hands-on training and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment (experience preferred, not required)
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and food handling practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Follow prep lists and instructions provided by kitchen leadership
• Support cooks with mise en place and station setup
• Properly label, store, and rotate food items according to safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed
• Dispose of waste properly and help maintain a clean kitchen environment
• Support the kitchen team during service as needed
