Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader in West Lafayette, IN to guide line cooks and prep staff, ensure food quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll train Crew to develop into future Kitchen Leaders, uphold Chipotle’s Food With Integrity, and maintain a clean, well-stocked kitchen.

You'll monitor inventory, lead teamwork between back- and front-of-house, and uphold safety standards while delivering great guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and restaurant experience.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include: cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned, sanitized, and maintained; monitor equipment and repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
