Chipotle Mexican Grill in Carmel, IN is seeking a Kitchen Leader to master food preparation, grill meats, and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and proper stocking while modeling teamwork and delivering a great guest experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, reducing waste, and guiding back- and front-of-house collaboration to achieve throughput and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and quickly fixed when malfunctioning.
• Ensuring the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO) tasks.
