Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food preparation, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You will ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and proper stock levels, serving as a role model for Crew members and promoting teamwork. The role emphasizes delivering a great customer experience, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and operational standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
• Have a high school diploma
• Have restaurant experience

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle’s policies and procedures while preparing food to order and maintaining kitchen standards
• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well organized; ensure equipment is maintained and functioning
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries
• Maintain MSDS records and Inventory Rotation (FIFO) procedures
