Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader to learn and oversee food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order food, train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, model teamwork, and drive customer experience. This role emphasizes training, throughput, and hands-on leadership on the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to train and develop Crew members.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; repairing malfunctioning equipment quickly
• Ensuring the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries
• Filling out MSDS and inventory rotation (FIFO)
