Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring for a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform cooking, grilling, and sautéing to deliver high quality, delicious food. You will order ingredients and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders, while promoting teamwork and an outstanding customer experience.

The role emphasizes keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and properly maintained, while ensuring safety and efficiency across shifts and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure that the kitchen and all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory documentation.
