Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant who will support chefs, engage with guests, and help run classes smoothly in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for cooking, hospitality, and teamwork, with at least 1 year in food prep or retail, and a valid Food Handlers Certification. You’ll work 12–16 hours weekly with flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable experiences that inspire loyalty.
• Stay current on products and participate in training to maintain expertise.
• Lead a customer-focused culture in kitchen and retail spaces.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive enrollment and positive feedback.
