Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to inspire guests throughout their culinary journey and support chefs in a fast-paced class environment. You will help create a welcoming, educational experience while keeping the kitchen organized and safe.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for cooking and teamwork, with a year of retail or kitchen experience and a valid Food Handlers Certification. Flexible, part-time hours support evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Support chefs and ensure class operations run smoothly and safely.
• Drive class enrollment and revenue through high-quality guest experiences.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and maintaining clean, organized workstations.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance in all kitchen areas.
